Going a little fast there bud

A triple-digit citation deserves its own frame and should be proudly displayed on a wall...

I recall an article about some hand aboard a Hayabusa who racked up a 196-m.p.h. speeding ticket in one of the flyover states (North Dakota, I think). That ticket definitely would've been framed & hung over my bar at home, lol.

 

Goodbye license and uninsurable..

 

Knew a guy who got a ticket for 187MPH back when utah had that little issue of the brand new radar guns clocking....rocks.....sitting on the ground....at 78 MPH.

That said big yikes i know just doing 75 is sketchy. 3 figures in a loaded semi is just asking for a tire blowout.

 

It's not a real big deal for a few minutes, the tires are stout enough to handle the rotational speed. It's the heat build up from extended running (especially loaded) at those speeds that kills the tires.

There once was a day when trucks came with a Stewert-Werner made 100 mph speedo. Everything is what? 85 mph now?

 

My 379 is 80....But straight down 6oclock is still 100....

 

Years ago My room mate got a ticket for 127 in a 45 in my 72 trans am .

it was on a weird section of road that was 5 lanes wide and limited access like an interstate , at 3 AM
So zero danger to any other motorists .
But was nice to know the top speed of my car .
