Looking to go back on road as company driver OTR or dedicated dry van, but its hard to find smaller companies and companies without inside camera, fair pay, and decent miles (at least .65) . Whenever I see something that seems to meet this criteria, it ends up being 1099 or lease op. Which would be fine if I could find ones that are not a scam. I'm AZ but not committed to this area. Any suggestions for trust worthy smaller companies for company driver preferred or lease operator? ❤
Going back OTR and need suggestions

Have you looked at/checked out Fremont Contract Carriers?
There's a very active, up-to-date thread here on the Forum...where you can ask other drivers what it's like there.
Drivers in that thread seem generally happy....& morale seems to be pretty high.
Well worth your effort to check 'em out.

What about ND?

You'll get bombarded with answers right here. I think you asked the right place! Give it a few minutes.

She said she wants $0.65 CPM. From what I understand FCC pays low CPM in the low 50's and if you hit bonus you'll get mid 50's CPM. That's why none of the guys in their thread ever really discuss their pay. Plus they do have a driver facing camera that will be turned on if safety wants it turned on because of even minor incidents.
She's going to have a hard time finding an OTR truckload carrier paying $0.65 CPM. Crete pays around that I think but they have driver facing cameras that safety can turn on and no APU's or idling either (unless extreme temps but then it'll hurt your bonus idling too much).
Not many W2 OTR truckload companies paying $0.65 CPM.JenniferOTR Thanks this. -
Not looking in ND but whats there?

Crete? Mesilla Valley Transportation? AN Webber? A quick search on the job feature on here pulled up a few companies as well as those. I'd look at New Legends Transportation also.

That's what they state on the job ads. Once again, they're paying their drivers for the most part in the low 50 CPM's, with bonuses in the mid 50 CPM's. Truckers really need to do the math and not look at what the advertised pay is.
Let's say Jennifer joins FCC. Let's say she works 52 weeks a year, no days off. Let's say she runs 3,000 miles a week. Let's say she is at $0.58 CPM including the bonuses since she never takes a day off the entire year.
3000 X $0.58 = $1740 per week
1740 X 52 = $90,480 gross annually
90k gross annually on unrealistic numbers is STILL $5,000 - $15,000 less than what FCC is advertising.
And I say on unrealistic numbers because who works 52 weeks a year without a day off? What OTR driver that's not on a dedicated route (dedicated routes are extremely rare in truckload OTR for solo drivers who aren't teaming) is getting 3,000 miles per week with the truck never breaking down or never having bad weeks?
I'm sorry but drivers are not making 95k-105,000k per year at FCC, let's please be realistic about what these jobs claim to pay.M22 rockcrusher, 074344, GoneButNotForgotten and 1 other person Thank this.
