You were making that with 8 days off per month too, compared to the 4 days off per month you get now. Your pay got cut around 25% and your days off got cut by 50% as well. I can see why you're pissed.
That said though, if it makes you feel any better 55-70 hours per week over a 5 day period doing local work sucks. 55 is more doable but once you start getting at around 59/60 hours per week or more in a 5 day period, it gets brutal. Because when you include commute times you're basically getting home and rushing to eat, shower and sleep. It's literally "hurry up and sleep" when you get home, 5 days a week. Although if you're extremely lucky with 15 minute commute or less than that helps, but most people aren't that lucky.
I would rather work 70 hours over a 7 day period doing OTR than work 60 hours over a 5 day period doing local + commute. So at least that's one advantage you have right now.
