They finally got my truck in the shop at 1030. I got it back around 1330 hey got the APU back.
Got a PP about an hour later. I am to bobtail to Evansville, IN and pick up at TJ Maxx and swap with another driver in MO. I get to the pickup and the guard says load is guaranteed to be ready at 0700 tomorrow. My PP said anytime today. She said it should be ready by 0230 so I just went down the street and parked in a parking lot. I'll just take my 10 and call at 0400. -
So this morning I call over at 0300,0430,0530 and finally at 0630 my load is ready. i pick it up at get on the road. After about 50 miles I get a QC message, change of plans take it to Council Buffs, IA. That's fine with me another 140 miles. Get here about 1845 and swap with the other driver. The new load is going to Bowling Green,KY for a 6/05 appt. I did 609 miles today. Well good night I am tired.
PS. First day of roadcheck 2014 I passed 5 scales only 1 was open in IA it did not have pre-pass and I went right through.Last edited: Jun 3, 2014

Did 518 miles, sitting at the rest area in Mount Vernon, IL on I64E.
The trailer I have is due for what PTL calls a CSA inspection. We pay shops to inspect the trailers every 3 months for possible CSA violations. Road Maint wanted me to go to a shop at a pilot in E.St. Louis to get this done. I go there and there are 5 trucks waiting to go to the shop. I just turned around and left.Last edited: Jun 5, 2014

Finished my load of paper products to Bowing Green, KY. My next PP is picking up 1.5 miles away and going to Laredo, TX for a delivery on 6/7 anytime. I like these runs 1,126 paid miles.
This trip will have me running by the W.Memphis,AR drop lot. I will stop and get the inspection done there. Hopefully they won't find anything else and put me OOS.
Sitting at the shipper waiting for the guy to come in and load me up. -
I am now at a rest area on I35S about 280 miles from my delivery in Laredo,TX.
When I went to pickup this load I go to the gate and press the button. No one answer but they open the gate. So I drive around back and go to dock 3 marked shipping. I back in and finally I see someone and she says the guy will be here in an hour to load me. So finally I feel the dock plate and he loads me for 5 minutes and then the dock plate is gone. They can't be done yet. After about a half hour a supervisor comes over and says I was suppose to go to dock 1 first ( this is marked deliveries). In order io get into dock 1 I have to go out the gate make a sharp right turn then back up down the street and come back in the gate. They load me up with my 24 other pallets and in order to get out of dock 1 I had to cross some grass. When I go back out the gate I turn left instead of right and have to go down to a driveway and then back out on the street and get going the right way. This was not a fun pickup. When I got back up to the entrance another PTL driver was coming out and making the same maneuver I had to to get to dock 1. I sat there and watched. He was worse than me so that made me feel better.
I drove to our W. Memphis,AR lot for the night and to get the CSA inspection done on the trailer. Of course I get put OOS for a loose drive train. While they look at it in the shop I went and got my favorite sub Lenny's.Leftnut Thanks this. -

While driving to Laredo I get a message saying make sure you have an MT for you next PP. I get to our drop yard and the office person comes out and fills out the transfer inspection form we need for trailers going to Mexico. I go deliver about 2 miles away and Jill takes me down a no truck route again. After I get past the guard check I put the trailer right in the tight parking places they have the first time. I was so proud of myself.
Bobtail back to the yard to pickup an MT. They send my PP. Picking up in Brownsville,TX at another drop lot and going to Mccook, IL. 1649 miles of which 250 are deadhead. Problem is the load was suppose to pick up on 6/6 and deliver on 6/9. I tell them I can't deliver till 6/10 and there are 2 problems with that I am suppose to be home on 6/10 and after checking I don't have the hours on my 70 clock. I asked for a swap and they said check back tomorrow they don't see any now. Don't ya just love weekend dispatch.
I will be staying in Brownsville lot for my 10.
