He just pulled next to me and waved his microphone. I figured it out.

Not a bad day did 345 miles to much waiting to be unloaded.

Got to my 1000 delivery at 0915. Drive into this tiny place and the yard jockey says you have to park on the street and then check in and they will give you a door. It was no fun backing back out. I sat and watched other drivers have a very difficult time getting into the docks. I decided to ask the yard jockey if he would put my trailer in for me. He said YES!!

I wait till 1300 for them to tell me door #1 (the hardest to get into). I drop my trailer and the yard jockey put it in like a pro. Meanwhile I get my next PP. Picking up in Springfield, MO at 1800, going to Mechanicsburg, PA for a 6/27 0930 delivery.

Didn't get unloaded til 1500. I did send in the msg for driver delayed. Maybe I will get detention. Took a quick hop over to the Petro in Joplin to scan in paperwork and get a Blimpe sub.

Get to my next pickup and it's a D/H (SCORE). So I scoot on down the road. I am at the MO welcome center for the night.

Today was a personal best for miles I did 633 in 10hr and 44 min driving. What slowed me down was traffic through Columbus, OH during rush hour.

I did stop at Indy to pick up a new spare tire. You never know when you will need one. When I stopped for the night at a rest area on I70 in OH east of Columbus I checked what I have left to run. 322 miles in 5.5 hrs according to my GPS. That will put me at the delivery at 1000 which is a half hour late. I will have to call the FM in the morning to give him the bad news.

Relatively easy day did 351 miles.

Got up this morning after exactly 10 hrs. I knew I was going to be late for my appt. I did call my FM (when he got in) and told him about it. He said did I update my PTA. I said no, then he said as soon as you realize that you can't make it update it. Learned something new.

Got to the consignee they did not even notice. Gave me a door and unloaded in an hour.

Next PP picking up in the same town and swapping with another driver tomorrow in Durham, NC.

Right now at the Petro in Carlisle, PA. Got a shower and dinner. I need to get up at 0400 to get the trailer in the shop here to get a light fixed. Don't want to do it tonight I will lose my good parking spot.

    Did 572 miles today.

Got up at 0400 and got the trailer light fixed. It was a corroded wire. Since I had gone in last night to sign up I was first in line to get in the shop.:biggrin_25525: There were 10 others waiting.

Went to the agreed on swap point with the other driver. Petro at EX157 on I85/40 in NC. The original place picked by who knows was a very small Hess place with no parking.

After about an hour the other driver showed up to his truck. Very nice guy who has been with PTL for 5 years. We exchanged paperwork and trailers. I took off to get to the TA in Richmond VA. I plan on doing a 34 here ( I hate running recap). The load does not deliver till Monday between 0800 and 1600 in Shoemakersville, PA.

Sunday did 0 miles. Monday did 468 miles.

Enjoyed my Sunday at the Richmond TA. took a shower and watched Netflix. Got the 34 done.

Got yup this morning ans took off at 0600. the drive was actually pretty good. I was expecting bad traffic up I95 and around Washington, DC. but it only slowed to a stop twice. Got to the receiver at 1130 and the sign on the door says back at 1300. I go sit in the truck after a half hour a guy on a forklift asks if I am delivering or picking up (this place makes bricks). He says back it in over there. I don;t like backing into buildings you can't see from the light outside to the dark inside. I got it done and the guy unloaded me in 30 min.

The next PP comes in picking up in Lancaster PA about 50 miles away and delivering on 7/2 at 0700 in the dreaded Chicago. I scaled the load at the Petro in Carlisle and after driving another 10 miles on the PA turnpike Jill finally agreed to go that way. She wanted me to go up to US 22 to avoid the tolls. No thanks.

Sitting at a service Plaza on the PA turnpike dor the night.

    209 miles today.

Made my delivery in Chicago. This time was very easy to get there and the receiver had a large lot. Only one problem. when I opened the doors to back in all the load had shifted forward. They rejected the load. I had to sit in the lot for about 4 hours till a plan was devised. PTL hired a local laborer to re stack the pails of honey that had fallen over. They each weighed 60 lbs. That took about 2 more hrs.

I had gotten a PP but it had to be taken off me as the shipper had lost power. FM said to go to a TS in Gary,IN to wait. So I went to the TA and scanned paperwork and got some lunch. After a bit a new PP comes in picking up in Aurora, IL going to Shelby, NC delivering anytime on the 4th.

So here I sit at an oasis on I80.
