PTL is just another trucking company friend. The problems of any other trucking company exist here. In particular trailers that need lots & lots of maintenance. Come in with a clean slate & do your job & you should do fine here. There is no silver bullet to success or secret formula to getting miles, big pay, home time etc @ PTL. Take it from me & probably the author of this thread it's all what you put into it. And that's coming from people who work here.

I don't have kids or a wife or anything so its just gonna be me focusing on the job and the truck and learning everything I can and doing the best job I can.

I previously worked at Trans am which I leased a truck right out of trucking school. it was my first job. needless to say, I got off to a horrible start and almost ruined my outlook on the industry as a whole. I then worked for Werner and I really cant say anything too bad about them as they gave me a job. I sat a lot and got sick of new jersey and new York really. anyways just gonna keep a positive outlook and work hard and deal with whatever comes my way good and bad.

Did not get a call so last night around 2100 I went and check the QC. Yep got a PP. Picking up today between 0800 and 2300 in Calhoun, TN going to Columbus, OH for an 0800 delivery tomorrow.

Right now sitting at the shipper waiting on my load to be ready so far waiting 3 hrs.

Did 305 miles today. Too long waiting to get my load.

At my fuel stop in Corbin, KY for the night.

Did 576 miles today not bad.

I was late for my delivery. I got there at 0930. No one seemed to care. I could have started my day at 0230 and made it on time I was too tired.

Got my next PP picking up 32 miles away at 1330 and delivering in SC at 1300. I had time to find a restroom and send in paperwork. I got to the pickup around 1130 and they loaded me right up with 14 totes of soap and I'm outa there at 1200. This load weighs only 24500 but still going up the hill on I77 sometimes got down to 20 mph in 6th gear.

I'm at the VA welcome center for the night.

PTL has instituted a new fuel bonus program. Each quarter if you average 6 to 6.5 you get 0.5CPM for every paid mile, 1.0CPM for 6.5 to 7.0 and 2.0CPM for 7.0+. 3 requirements 1 must do at least 24,000 miles 2 must still be employed when they payout and 3 must have the same truck.

I asked my FM when will they payout for the last quarter and he said next week. I did 6.63MPG for 30,400 miles So I get $304.00 bonus.:biggrin_255:

    Did 424 miles today.

My delivery was a piece of cake. Wish they were all like that.

I am sitting at my next shipper in Imo, SC. I have been here once before. My load won't be ready for another hour so I decided to spend the night here. It delivers in Carol Stream, IL on 7/19 at 0700. Then we are set up to get my APU fixed.

Today I actually got a call from PTL congratulating me on my fuel bonus of $304.95. I was surprised by that. Also when the paycheck msg came out today I had 2 of them 1 for the regular and 1 for the bonus.
