I know there starting pay is lower than most but from what my friend says you get a couple of raises your first year. When I find exact numbers I'll post. Thank you and good luck to you to. Hope it all works wherever you end up.

I went thru FFE. Training was good imo. I drove for 5 years prior and had to start over. Been with them for past year. Starting with prime next week. FFE is a starter/training company now. But do what's right for you and yours. Good luck.

Im sad about the prime #### cause i wanted to lease so bad. But i guess it will be better for me to learn on somebody elses truck then #### mine up lol ima look into FFE i forgot all about them, im glad i come here cause i get a ton of companies from people, also tips. I dont really listen to the bad stuff people say cause who knows if its true. Good luck at prime, ill be there in a year or less. They told me yes but I had that job fire me earlier tthisyear but they said in 5 months of employment somewhere else

Hope you like going slow, we pass Prime trucks all day long!
-
Lol i was reading a whole thread about that. I hate going slow but if ima save fuel and not get pulled over ill be glad to flash you over or yell on the cb on let you know. I only plan on leasing with them and that's it

Remember the days when Swift plodded along at 55 mph and you couldn't keep up with Prime?

Think long and hard before you lease. They will talk it up pretty good but remember, you will have to pay for repairs, fuel, insurance, etc.
Repairs can make or break you. My company recently had to shell out over $8400 on my truck due to a bad DPF. That was for repairs, a truck rental to finish my run and pick up a reload and my motel room for 2 nights.
I know I sure didn't have $8400 in my bank account if it were my truck. -
#### thats a lot. Ima be a company driver for a hear ir 2 so i can save up money for them just in case moments. My wife has a good job so all the money i make will be put to the truck(business). I been doing a ton of thinking and writing a budget and looking up prices of tires and everything else so I a good price range of what it would cost. I plan on having 15,000 in the bank before I even sign a lease cause like I said my wife has a good job so all the money I get is mainly going toward saving and help if she runs low at home. Ima run as hard as I can til I get 15,000 in the bank and I think I should be good. I planned on saving to buy a brand new truck but that would take too long.

Sounds like a step in the right direction. They say you should have a minimum of $10k in cash reserves before going owner/operator.
Too many guys jump into leases without any cash on hand and find themselves in a huge hole when something on that lease truck decides to.stop working.
