you tell 'em your light may not flash on but it lasts forever!

And.......I've been thinking about my post on team pay. I think it sounded rude. I'm sorry........I didn't mean to be rude. I find a large number of people will say that a married team gets paid together and I try to correct that misinformation. I also failed to say that I think the starting is $.32 per mile for the truck and that's $.16 per mile per driver. So you would each be paid $.16 per every mile the truck runs.

I'm so excited for you, can't wait for you to be on the road.

    scottied67 and Wyldfyur Thank this.

Lol Nana...not rude...just figured your hot flash was kicking in lol.
So what does a solo driver get paid? Seems like one is kinda taking a pay cut, but as I have said I get confused easily lol.
    Thanky Nana

You do take a cut in cents per mile, supposedly the fact that you both get paid all the miles the truck runs makes up for it.

I'm tightfisted money wise and frankly......that and the no pet rule is what will eventually drive me (drive me LOL a driving pun) to another company.

I feel we should be rewarded for driving team, it's harder than solo in my honest opinion. The truck seldom stops.

a solo driver that runs 2500 miles gets paid .26 per mile which is $650 and a driver who is on a team that runs 5000 gets paid .16 per mile which is $800 so you do get paid better. But we're on that truck a lot more time. It's a trade off.

Now please understand, I'm not "griping" nor am I bashing Swift. I like working for Swift and we make good money. I just will always be honest about facts and my personal thoughts.

I appreciate your frankness! It does seem a bit lopsided, but oh well will get experience and hope down the road Swift has a change for teams.

*hugs you* Well, you do get more money 800 vs 650 but....I suppose I'm just greedy LOL.

I'm sort of wondering about teams since they're no longer running the transcon fleet.

There use to be a transcon fleet. You could get on it as a team and you'd go coast to coast. Almost never to a customer, you'd pick up at a terminal and drop at a terminal. Most teams on it ran 6000 or more a week. But the freight changed and back in june they moved otr teams to the same fleet as mentor teams. I think they're calling it the expedite fleet.

hmmm....are you bragging or just wanting to make those of us who cannot have their pets feel bad? We had 4 beautiful dogs we had to relocate to get a job. Frankly we are not interested in getting into L/O until we have more experience with Swift. We are thankful to finally have an opportunity to work yet it breaks my heart each time someone off handedly says things like you did. Please consider those of us who gave up our pets so we can put food on the table an a roof over our heads. Please forgive me if I am being blunt but your post hit a very sore nerve.
    Luv you gys
