The PTA thing is a bit of a crap shoot. At least that's what I've found to be the case. I think planners want to know if you'll have hours available, once you've unloaded or hooked, to move along to the next shipper, get loaded (or hooked), then have the hours available to make the final on time. The crap shoot is a no-brainer if you're working with a fresh or relatively fresh 70, but if you're winding your way toward a 34....it gets a little tighter!

Doing a daily (early in the day) and accurate Macro 10 is critical. We communicate with the folks that control the money pie via a computer so it's important to feed the computer with good stuff!

Tomorrow is the last day of orientation. It has been interesting for the most part. Today was a lil redundant an I was really tired by the end of the day, very hard not to fall asleep. Hubby is taking mentor class tomorrow an hopefully he will get a load back this way so we can finally be underway.
    Thanky all
    Luv you gys

Heading out with my mentor sometime today!!! Got a run to Billings MT, should be interesting cause I think it has snowed.:biggrin_25523: Nothing like getting into the thick of things right off the bat, lol. Probably wont be able to post for a bit but will try as often as I am able.
It has been a long eventfull trip all this learning etc. I couldnt have done it without you all. Anyone who is new here go ahead an post an all of a sudden you will have many friends an advisors. If any are rude (very rare) just click the ignore button. 99.9% of the people here are great and want to help in one way or another. Yeah these are just words we type but in my mind I have a wonderful bunch of friends. When one posts on your thread be sure an look up their threads, wonderful reading, but grab a hanky. Mostly for laughing but a few tear jerkers also.
    Luv you gys

Whew!!! First week has been very interesting lol. Started off worming out on the Lewiston grade, yes am being honest here. Went a grand total of 9 miles on 1hr. Had my mind set on going to Moscow, hubby said exit at this exit, lol I did not the way to go. Needless to say by then I was totally flustered he drove the rest of the nite. Next day was way better. Headed to Billings MT. Hmmm someone said first week no hazardous weather, lol the Lord had other ideas. Made it safely, with many more grey hairs. Headed toward Las Vegas, saw a terrible wreck on the side of the road big truck crashed an burned. Unloaded in San Bernadino, headed for Compton Ca. Hmmm someone said no heavy traffic first week, lol the Lord had other plans. Upshift downshift up shift downshift for many hrs. Now in Alb. NM all power in the cab went out about 2hrs out an we had a very very cold nite. Now at terminal hoping to find her prob an get back out there.
Missed ya Nana in Mt, was looking forward to seeing ya, I might not have the right number as I left some msgs.
    Luv you gys
btw not listening to someone said anymore lol
