going out with my trainer tomorrow

I just got home off the truck for swift the mentor will screw you real bad if he does not like you and the the driver manager diana wil come to the orintation in ocala and tell you if you got a problem let her know she will get you another mentor dont beleive her she is a lier they will not i was told by my mentor i would be stuck on that truck for 3 days over the thanksgiveing days wens thur and fri i complained to him he got mad now im home jobless again

 

If you go to ocala fl and get a mentor you better hope it ant kevin he is a lier

 

Yep, you got to put up with crap to start. You should have just got a motel and enjoyed yourself. From what I understand, Swift will pay for you a motel while your mentor is taking time off or while you are waiting for a truck...

 

How did you get them to do that my mentor told me i had to pay for the motel at 105 a night

 

Your mentor is supposed to get a PO for the hotel, pay for it upfront and they get reimbursed. You should never have paid a cent yourself. $105 a night is more than Swift will pay back so he probably didn't want to go to a different hotel or get stuck with it himself. Oh and this is trucking so not getting home for holidays can pretty much be expected when you are new. Not trying to be mean but it is what it is.

 

as far as the home time i knew i would not be home ive been an otr driver befor i just did not have the money for the hotel and at that time mentor did not tell me swift would put me in a hotel i just found that out and now every thing is good got a new mentor and i go back out monday

 

Any mentor that is shady enough to try and get you to cover the hotel is probably not worth staying with anyways. Hopefully the new one is better.
