If you lie..... THEY WILL FIND OUT and you WILL go home. I wouldn't quit my job until I knew I had another lined up. Just be honest.... they will be more likely to work with you then. Just be honest n forthright with them and you should be fine.
I decided to go flatbed because I want the physical work... reefer you basically just sit the whole time.... I hate that.... I want something to do. Just as soon as I finish tnt I'm goin to make the switch.... -

As I sit in Florida staring at a stopped train.... one thought keeps goin through my mind..... I despise flowers... This load is becoming a royal PITA...
You goin to switch when you start tnt or after? I'm waiting til after I finish with my tnt so I can get more experience in snow before I'm on my own.... though I will probably team til spring anyway, just for the extra set of hands... -

Well.... flower load gone now. THANK GOD!!!! It has been horrible... I was drivin, rounded a corner doin 62 in the right lane... saw a conway truck on the shoulder, so I moved over to the left lane.... looked ahead... saw stuff on the highway so was gonna move back over... then I saw a lady layin in the middle of the road.... slammed on the brakes n yelld at my trainer who was sleeping... "Theres an accident up ahead n it just happend!!!" Came to a stop, threw off my seat belt, set the brakes n ran over to see if I could help... they asked me to call 911 so I ran back to the truck n told my trainer to. MM166 I90WB in Montana...If I hadnt stopped when I did, I wouldve run her ovar n killed her.... suprised no one did run her over. She was right in the lane... her husband lost control of the pickup n she got ejected. Three THREE ppl stopped.... All three truckers, includin me. I was the third person on the scene. They ended up life flighting her out, took him by ambulance. Will never forget seeing her in the road right in front of me.... Were taking a break for today, getting started again tommorow with a load out of here.

Well... Time for an update. Trainer spoke with our new FM n asked how many miles I have so far... Even with all the time sitting in SPRINGMO I have over 39000 miles. Only 800 short of the needed miles. I will have 1000+ over that by the time I get back to the house Friday for hometime. Still staying on until September 20th as agreed upon. Trainer says I am ready for my own truck, but still waiting until then just for the little extra time. After I upgrade I will be switching to flatbed division. Spoke with the head of flatbed and he said I would need to go out for 30 days with a flatbed trainer, which is fine with me. More time to learn in the winter. If I can make it through the winter Ill have learned during the hardest part of the year. It will be difficult, and there will be times I want to quit, but Ill make it through and be better off for it.
CadetTrucker Thanks this.
