Well time for an update.... On my last week with trainer. Getting loaded with a potluck of aluminum... stuff lol. Square tubing, rods, I beams, plates.... you name it, we probably got it. Hoping it stays low enough to use the small tarps, but we shall see. Drop at all three stops on the 19th, then hoping for routing into SPRINGMO. We shall see.

    GSWx Thanks this.

Do you occasionally make those Miami-to-Los Angeles or similar, very long distance trips in flatbed?

We haven't yet, but there's a lot we haven't done. We do make coast to coast trips, just not like the reefer side. We have more time to get where were going.

I do not even have a pet rock in my truck so I do not feel your pain on this.

I did read you post on flatbedding with Prime. I have pulled reefers for Prime for 2 years now and I am sitting in the SpringMo yard right now. Tomorrow I start their 2 day boot camp on securement? I was just so tired of reefers.

you will find that U2 and iron Pony are very knowledgable when it comes to Prime. U2 is L/O noow I believe and IP is company, both reefer side. As for NoTarps, blow him off. He really has a thing out for prime.

I've been out with a trainer on flatbed side, heading back in this week to finish my upgrade n get my truck. Hoping to get in Friday. Would love to do that class....
IP is lease also. I have learned a lot from both

Update: We made it to Chicago early this morning, but they took too long to unload us. Apparently the guys who loaded it mixed everything up, so they had to go find what was theirs. Now were in Burns Harbor waiting for a door. (yes a door. Got to back into this building so we can get unloaded.) Won't make our drop in Michigan today, have to wait til tommorow now. Then we should be routed through SPRINGMO!!!!

ORD says that flats are more challenging than reefer. Have you forgotten how challenging it is to look in the mirror to make sure that green light is on or how difficult it is to take a nap while the forklift is shaking the whole truck.

Just kidding you bro. I was thinking about you today as I was sitting at this loves watching the skaters back. They do track a little odd.

Or when the lights not on and you forget if its supposed to be on or not? Lol I keep having to check my mirrors to make sure my LOAD is still on lol
Always got to watch that front axle. When you turn your actually dragging it along the ground. Good way to rip it off
