Glad to see so many people like my "so, there I was" story. Key word, story. I got a chuckle from some posts. I sure can't wait to hear the rumors back at springmo about the showering trucker...

 

Well I hope for your sake thats all it was and no one called it in.

 

Like a bad nickname from childhood, that is the kind of stuff that tends to stick with you...!

 

And believe me the word can spread faster than you think. Thats way I had to tell. Not that I didn't think it was ROLF. It was more for your proection. I had a team driver that while we sat in colorodo, Eating our dinner, he decided to have a harmless bolw of icecream. When he ordered 5 scoops, the watress told him they had very big scoops and he wouldn't be able to finish 1 or 2. So he told her to bring them on, all 5. In came this bowl that had to have a gallon of icecream in it. They all of a sudden everyone was betting him that he couldn't finish it. He did and he left out of there a lot richer. Off we trucking. We stop in Jessup MD T/A. He gets out and some says hey arent you the guy that eat all the icecream. The driver had never seen him before. When it got back to the company (which was 2 days after it happened) It was all twisted around and I almost had to fire him over it. If i post anything on a thread it not to put anyone down (well Itry to it at a minumun) but to help them with my many years of OTR exp. Over 25 years on on off the road.

 

Just FYI everyone, if it starts with "So there I was" it is probably a "story". Feel free to exercise your creative writing skills. I am sure we will ROFL and even cry a little. Thanks for caring Mud.
