That'll be fun if I make it that far. :p I've never driven a big truck. Just tiny bus things long ago. :D Let us know how it goes! Take pictures if you can.

O I will take pictures lol It was awesome driving that truck!!! Will give you one tip... When you do the simulator... Just practice double clutching basics... It is completely different when you get into the truck. Nothing at all like it.

I know. Was the first time Ive ever driven a big rig. Did not do that today, of course I was just bobtailing. Was allowed by my instructor though to bobtail the truck through town from the industrial park back to the pad. I was shaking for like 2 hours.

Glad to see things are progressing well for you. I hope to be headed to Prime by mid-June if I can get this speeding ticket cleared up. Found out today that if you have 2 speeding tickets (got one in 2009 and one in March 2011) 15mph over the speed limit within 3 years, the state of Georgia disqualifies you for a CDL. I disagree that I was speeding in March but missed my court date the week before last because the dumb deputy wrote the wrong court date on the ticket. I can't go to court now and dispute until June 9th. Hopefully I can make a case to have the ticket reduced based on the fact that if the deputy was incompetent enough to write the wrong date on the ticket, maybe he was incompetent enough not to calibrate his radar correctly....wish me luck!

Luck wished. Well been almost a week, but finally able to log in on my phone. I love driving this thing, love being out here!!! In less than a week I've been through: Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, west Virginia New jersey, Maryland, Washington dc, and Virginia.... drove through 4 tunnels, and through some really big hills.... sitting here now waiting on a load...

    Dennis the Menace Thanks this.

LOL I love doing it so far. Love driving the truck. I can at least keep it in my lane, seen a few who were not quite in one lane, or 2 lanes for that matter. least I get time to learn how to drive these things before winter hits

Not the advantage you'd think... its probably better to get some time in with a trainer in bad weather.

I would like to have that training. I hate cold... warm is better. I'm learning a lot from my instructor. Hope to learn everything I need to learn so I can do this job correctly
