Well, right now i deliver freight to a guy who was going to be my team mate. We were going to take his route and combine it with mine to make a longer team run. Turns out he was offered and accepted a route in a location where he would be closer to family. Apparently he is not doing that route next week which to me implies that Im going to be teaming next week, lol. Although no official word from the bossman. Getting another driver up here that has done that route as well as mine before and knows the stops, which helps. Don't know who he is so hopefully I will meet him this weekend...or more likely next week when we come off the weekend and get to work. Should be interesting.

So, nothing new to report yet other than that. Cleaned out the truck over the last few days as far as junk and swept it out. Going to take a bucket and brush this week and get the floors and other places to get er cleaned up. Got the bunk curtain fastened again...might need to break out the super glue or something as those pop out of the button snaps a bit easier than Id like.

Also working on basic organization stuff...I have a cooler at home that I will use (one of those little 6 can things). I have an old army duffel style bag from my dad that Im going to stuff stuff into. Also bringing some bungee cords to wrap up the sleeping bag as I think we will put our stuff on the top bunk while the other person is sleeping and then secure it with the net.
Was thinking about buying a 13inch TV, but Im seeing them priced over 100 bucks...its not that Im cheap.....ok it is, haha.
Also going to buy some rechargable batteries for my MP3 player so i can listen to podcasts and such without buying a lot of batteries each week.

I saw in another thread about using a sheet to hang down from the top bunk to make it a bit darker in the bed area...might have to look into that.

Im always looking for ideas so if anyone has any...feel free to toss em my way.

Hi Ziggy, teaming is OK I've done it. The TV you don't really need it. What I found useful for sleeping is the Cover for your eyes, you use for sleeping (I'm sure there is a name for it I don't know what it is, it goes around you head) What you need is earphones for everything you want to listen to while your driving MP3, radio, cd's etc... because the other person is sleeping while your driving, so you have to be quiet to be curtious, Ofcourse you need your chargers for everything as well too. Food is not that big of a deal, you will be stopping every 10-11 hours no matter what, so you can stop eat take a shower. If you do take a fridge remember you have to make room for the other guy too, so the smaller the better.
I liked teaming but it was union so we would go out for 4 days then off for 3. Going out for 12 - bringing food might be cheaper. You really don't have time to watch tv plus your moving the reception will change as you move down the road.
BTW Thanks for the SNI info. I was laid off the union job, I'm somewhere else now, but I'm planning to return to SNI in July. anyway Good luck Teaming feel free to ask more questions.

So, Ziggy, you're going to run 700+- miles per day plus 11 stops, and be home nightly, right? Can you say long day? Sounds like one of those 3 am start times and 9 pm finish times deals......

Thanks for the tips. I need to test out my XM as it has no volume adjust on the unit...not sure how Ill work with that. I know I could have some earbuds for using the MP3 player.

As far as the sleeper stuff...we are going to be home daily so Im going to make sure to bring something to eat for when we switch. I don't think / don't hope we will be stopping at a truck stop, but at one of our customers so it will pretty much be a turn and burn thing. Im also thinking about the TV because if I drive in the morning and switch...well Im going to be in the sleeper for at least 7 hours on the way home...and then Ill be home and it will be rather late anyways...not going to sleep for 14 or so hours. Im not that talented, lol. If I got a TV, I'd get it for a dvd player basically.

Yeah pretty much. Running the numbers in my head...if I left at 3am...probably get home around 6:30-7 at night. Just a tad under 700 miles...with the shortest route home.

    Good posts.
My problem was always the radio. Seems not everyone in the world is a country music fan. I was shocked!
Ya'll keep it safe out there.
