Quick question for any Con-way driver, I am considering driving here, have 7 years exp. all at companies that paid "household movers guide miles" is there really a big difference between what you actially drive, and the miles you get paid for on "practical miles." Been liking what I am reading so far, have been approved to come on to Con-way, considering them highly over others. Thanks
One thing I don't like is you run all 48, and forced dispatch. Things I don't have to do right now. I have turned down loads to West Nyak NY and other areas. Can't do that at CFI.
From what I understand they pay you more to run on or East of I81?? Is this true? If so, I'm gonna try to persuade the Freight side to pay me a few cents per mile more since all of my miles are run East of there..lol..
I am set to go to Conway boot camp after cdl school in a few weeks. I was told I would have to come in either as a solo or team to start with , as Conway doesn't "pair" up teams. Does that mean Conway won't allow me to find a teammate once I get through training if I prefer to run that way? If I can, how do you guys go about finding your own team mates?
I have applied for the Decatur Alabama terminal. I was wondering about family insurance costs. I heard it was $5.00 per week is this true? If so this will be Great!
