There is only one Gate for most Base's you need to go to & that is Commercial Truck Gate some times they call it Gate 2 Gate 4 etc.
Call The Consignee Phone # ON your GBL and ask them what they call that gate and sometimes you will need to call that Sarge to be escorted
if you will be unloading anything Haz. or going to a runway area's and so onTruckerPete1990 Thanks this. -
Just chicken lol

At first glance I thought your topic title stated "going to fart...."

Casual Trucker has it about right, find out the gate ahead of time if you can. About 100% chance the vehicle will be searched, DO NOT have any weapons, drugs or other prohibited items, it won't go well if you do. Follow ALL instructions! Likely somebody will meet you at the gate and arrange for a pass, etc. and will also likely escort you to the unloading area. Figure 1-2 hours extra for gate procedures over a civilian unload, also make sure you are there at the correct time, many/most of the commercial gates are only open typical business hours. Most bases have a huge back up 1st thing in the morning, mid morning or early afternoon is usually better if schedule will allow.
TSCranky Yankee Thanks this. -
If you go to the wrong gate it's just too bad. They say, "Sir, Please back up and go to Gate so-so".
-
Well that depends too... go to a nuke storage area by mistake, try to get in and they might shoot ya!

I have delivered at different Army bases before and just call ahead and they are usually very helpful over the phone. The base in French Camp CA searched my truck and ran a quick background check on me. They also asked all kinds of questions. At Camp Roberts and Fort Leggit they just checked my ID and told me where to go and not go.

I deliver some to a place that has signs "DEADLY FORCE IS AUTHORIZED", you don't go in the wrong area there....... -
We had a ready weapons site on our base in Korea... triple concertina wire fences, the less manageable dogs running loose between the inner two fences, security force inside, locked and loaded. Rumor had anti-personnel mines between the outer two fences.
And, of course, "Do not approach fence within 50 feet. USE OF DEADLY FORCE AUTHORIZED" signs about 50 feet from the outside fence.
They would have shot ya... dead.
