Oh right. Yeah that's what I meant, you'll never survive without a gps. :). Also a top end cb. Heh, my cb is about 18 years old. I wouldn't mind a new one if I can save some cash up for it. :)

lol. Well I just got back from the Flyin J and picked up the Rand McNally 710 before the wife changed her mind. I'm still doing a bit of research for what cb I want to get.

After doing a little research on here and a few other places I decided not to upgrade my cb, apparently my cb is a pretty good model, even though it's 18 years old. (They say the new version of mine isn't as good as the older ones like mine) It's a Cobra 148 GTL. The bluetooth was sounding cool, but I have a blue tooth earpiece so I'll just use that when I need to make a call.

You dont need that great of a radio I just had a cobra 30 and it worked great to find out where the bears are at on the hills.

I wouldn't get the Cobra BT. I have had two, one used and the second new and neither one worked well for receiving/sending transmissions beyond a VERY short distance. My cobra 19 when hooked up to the same antenna configuration outperformed it by a lot. The BT works ok but not great, I can hear people well but they have a harder time understanding me.

I love my old Cobra 25 Nightwatch. I wouldn't trade it for the world. Although, I don't have any antennas for my truck right now. Last driver ran it through the truck wash and snapped them off. Gary terminal has been out of them for a couple of weeks.

You slip seating or just haven't had antennas since you got it?

Slip seating but have had the same truck twice now because the other driver is on medical leave. Service said they've ordered them and should have them by the end of the week. I miss my CB!
