Yeah that would be a pain in the butt. You need it at so many shippers and receivers. I'd probably have ended up just buying my own. Had to do that the first time I worked at Roehl, only had one antenna and it didn't work.
Going to Gary on June 13th!

just get a cobra 19
you can take it to a cb sshop later and get it tweaked and boosted -
-
That is all you will ever need, and it should last you for a lifetime. Some of these guys get crazy with cb's, you can spend alot of money, but if you want to talk a long distance, get a phone. Most of the time you just get bear reports and check in and out at customers anyhow.

yeah those guys that over power all the radios as you lug slowly through downtown Chicago

thanks for the help guys. I got it peaked and tuned today at Jerry's CB Shop in Rockford for $25. I had to grind about 1/2" off the antenna to get the SWR calibrated right. I got a K30 magnetic mount antenna for my car. It seems to work pretty well. I imagine the antenna in the trucks are a lot better so I'm anxious to see how it does when I get my truck. My wife got on last night and asked for help picking a handle, they guys on there stuck her with "Puddin' Pop" I told her she is stuck with it now, lol. So I've been calling her Puddin' Pop all day.

Ive got a cobra 25ltd ex classic. Bought it back in 98 and it had been in a box for awhile. Got it out and she still works fine.
As for a handle I still have none. They call me slow driver a lot or get out of the way. Lol tho some steel worker called me tiny the first time I got a load. Lol. I'm not tiny at all...
