I'm having a bunch of fun on the cb already. I got my wife a little Midland 1001z for her car and we are on it quite a bit talking to some of the local guys here in Rockford. I'm already headed back out to Jerry's CB Shop here in Rockford to upgrade my antenna and get a Road Devil powered mic. I'll give the wife my K30 antenna and Cobra HG m77.

picked up a 102" whip with a triple mag mount. Got my Road Devil mic ordered and it'll be here on Tues. Sounds a lot better now.

Last day with my current employer was today. Looking forward to next Monday and getting qualification day over with! Should be in Gary around 1500 local time on Sunday.

 

Sounds good Joe. I think check in at the hotel is 1500 so I'll be there then too. Are you driving in or taking the greyhound? A budy of mine just finished his orientation with Star yesterday so I'm pretty anxious to get started. I was a little jealous because he got a brand new Peterbilt but who wants to drive vans, lol. I was pretty happy to find the 2011 Rand McNally laminated atlas on sale at a local Loves TS for $29, I was dreading paying $79 for one of those. So since I saved money on that I was able to spend some on a schottky diode mod for my cb, lol I'm addicted. See ya there!

 

I need to study the 10 speed shift pattern before I get there. I learned on a 13 speed.

 

You guys are getting way too excited over this stuff. Just calm down. They will teach you the right ways to do stuff at Roehl. Just listen and study and you will be fine.

I know, I was the same way when I signed on with Roehl. Take a deep breath and all will be fine.
