Hahaha I couldn't find Debrosses for a while.

Well it's not so hard. Looks like you've got to get to the west side and come east on Canal.

Broadway all the way down from the GWB is probably the easiest to explain. The lights suck up that way so give yourself extra time.

At Lincoln Center you transition to 9th. The lights will be better from there down. At some point after 55th your going to want to transition to the west side highway. 42nd, 34th, and 14th are the wide streets. Actually, scratch 14th, there's a traffic triangle there. Use it only as a last resort.

Take the west side highway down to canal. Greenwich is right off of it. Stay to the right after you turn off the west side. You don't want to end up in the Holland Tunnel cue.

    Welcome to the club.

You really want the middle lane on Canal. The right becomes metered parking and loading zones way too often, and the left gets clogged up with people trying to turn left. And watch the intersections, especially closer to the west side. They resurfaced and repainted the lines, and they don't quite line up from one side of the intersection to another. You have to zig or zag a few feet one way or the other to stay in your lane, and most of the genius drivers around you are oblivious that they are drifting into your lane.

I think I'd have to agree with @'olhand here. If it were me, I'd hit it from the south, since OP's destination is down that way anyhow. The less time spent trying to finagle a truck around Manhattan, the better.

I'm going the southern route. Less time in Manhattan the better.

I was at the Statue of Liberty yesterday and took my kid to his grandmother's via the Holland Tunnel. I ALMOST stopped by to check on you. But if figured it'd get a little weird.
