Well well day 1 is just paper work basically. A stack of paperwork oh maybe a quarter inch thick. It's actually not a whole lotta writing, just reading and signing. After that it was on to the simulator that thing is cool! so is the guy that runs it! so first day was good, however I realized I forgot a few things at home. Whoops...

    More later guys and gals.

Day two was the usual log stuff and safety discussion. Found out I have two weeks with a trainer and three days of load securement. So far things are looking good.

Eventually you will get a new Cascadia, cut to either 63 or 65, depending on who is talking. The goal is the blue SMX trucks will be retired by Feb 1st. At least that is yesterdays scuttlebutt.

Played with a homicide/shotgun/parallel coil today, along with some pipes and nearly killed myself lifting a wet noodle of a tarp that was somewhere north of 150lbs. Usually they are 145. Off tomorrow and one more load securement day.

I am about to leave my house and head for the Greyhound. Been searching threads about Western Express and this one seems legit. At least it's not a bunch of disgruntled cry babies that more than likely caused their own problems. I will update on my orientation experience as a dry van driver for you guys.
