I've been approved for orientation on 2/10 in Tulsa. I'm both nervous and excited. I'm giving up a good local job for this, but I need a change right now. I'm not looking forward to riding the bus though. Does anyone know if they'll pay for a rental car instead?
Going to orientation

You are in virginia now?
Best to endure the bus. Let them do battle in the winter weather to our west and north thats developing as I write this from Arkansas not far from Tulsa. Including Ice in that area. 44 is a mess right now as will be Tulsa and Kansas etc.
If you have a greyhound driver who is a warrior in winter weather you will get through ok with a big bus. Ive had ridden them after some epic winter weather myself and I completely in my professional assessment that we would for sure get stuck based on our bus's bogie rear axle for weight and forward drive axle only back there. But we got through that ok.RoadHungryTrucker Thanks this. -
Yes, I'm in Virginia now. Its going to be about a 34 hour trip on the bus, but I guess I'm going to have to suck it up lol. Then it will be 8 days of orientation, then 3 weeks with a trainer. It's a long journey back.
