Oh well you'll need to do securement training in gary. That's our flatbed terminal so unfortunately that's most likely where you'll go.

Jimmy, more defined answers are probably available elsewhere on the forum, as the math you're working with isn't Roehl-Specific. But, that being said, I don't believe I've come across anyone who went with Tax-Advantage, for any reason other than to lower their gross annual pay, because that's what their child-support was based upon. General thought, is it's not worth the risk of lowering your value, regarding any loans you may take in the future, and it also, by nature lowers possible payments from thing based on earned income, short/ long term disablity, unemployment, Social Security, and whatnot.

as far as actual deductions vs. Federal allowance, Since I never spent $40 a day OTR, tax-wise, I made out like a bandit taking the allowance-deduction. just needed to keep my logbooks.

Got it. Yeah they might do securement training in Phoenix. I don't know if they do or not. I just know gary is our main flatbed terminal. That's where I had to go for securement training.

Alright guys I was wondering if you could give me a step by step of the testing at the end of orientation. The backing and the road test and all that stuff. Also what do we go over in our week of training. Where we stay at the terminal.

Hard to give a step by step.

Not be be sarcastic but I can give you only a gist of what I remember from mine.

Day 5 after being the second driver for the day out of 2. Parked the truck and he said, hey man that was your test. You passed. I then said you were testing me then hooray'd at the fact I passed.

As for coming off the road with a trainer?

They give you keys, you unlock door, you put key in ignition, you turn key. Place hands on steering wheel, make sure to shift correctly (not looking for perfect) and follow your testers directions. Boom. Done.

    Easy peasy.

What does "driveway to driveway" mean? Roehl pays "Practical Miles". This is a little better than "Household Goods Miles".
