Going to Swift orientation on Tuesday (Syracuse)

Hows it going out there masshole? Never asked you, what made you pick swift?

 

I was pretty efd up in the 80's & the first half of the 90's.

 

I gotta say guys,,,,,I hate trucking.
It's pretty obvious,that it's not for me if after one week,I'm miserable.
Respect to those who love it or do it to make ends meet.
I see no benefit to it and no pluses.
Uhealthy,overregulated,boring,
dangerous,lonely,uderpaid,stressful,and just grueling.
Bus tickets are over $250 from here on West coast & I'm headed back to Cali.
Otherwise I'd bounce now.
I've made good money in past and had some great jobs.
This one sucks and the work/hours needed to gross $1000 is absurd.
I already miss having a life & I know how it is to give up freedoms,being in the military. Trucking sucks donkey dongs!!!!

 

Sorry man. Least you gave it a shot. Maybe a local job driving?

 

I'd consider class B or Dump,cement,garbage. To heck with over the road & class A

 

After I get my cdl I'm conflicted with going otr, local job or staying where I am with pay raise.. I want to go owner operator and otr would benefit me.

 

Where are you now?

 

I honestly can't see,comprehend, or understand how anybody can enjoy this life. I should have known better with me be socially inclined,that this would suck.
I also enjoy eating well & exercising & being active. This is a good gig for socially awkward,antisocial,sedentary people. Sucks too,because I figured with me loving all things wheeled (cars,trucks,cycles,heavy equipment),that I'd love this.
This is absolute misery.
