Tell you what you little whipper snapper,I might be "old and infirmed" but you, you little #### ain't worth the air you're wasting that the mentally handicapped need to live on! I did read a few of your pissant posts and like all of these in this thread are the same, just bull rolling off your fingers!
You're nothing but a CRE poser! Why don't you quit while you're behind because as the old saying goes it's all a thing of mind over matter. We don't mind as you really don't matter! Go ahead and stay on your knees in front of whoever it is you're kneeling in front of as they dictate to you what to write here! I've argued with pimples that did a better job! After a quick check of CRE posts here and on several other forums and the count being at the 500 I stopped at to your 1 I'll believe the 500 over your silly attempt to prove CRE as the on high company you want to paint them at! ROFLMFAO!
Sonny Boy I could care less about how you pulled my post apart, you still are not coming out as knowing beans about trucking! And that little sissy way of saying that my experience means squat to you just hurt my feeling so bad I'll go cry sometime next year! BUT thats why you are doomed to fail! All mouth no ears! But you know it all so why would we care!
Tell your mouth piece he and you can pretty much KMA! I've been there done that and have forgotten more than you and your boy friend you're kneeling in front of will ever know! Enjoy you dinner there boy!
Mods spank me if you need to! I'm spending to much time in here as it is and need to write on other things to keep the money flowing in!
Oh
Good Luck

Were not the one who leased from CRE.....

Well guys, all of this has been interesting(?) reading and sometimes entertaining. The wife and I are about to enter school, Sage thru a local community college. This thread and several others give me a better feeling about our 'master plan'
1. Go to a community college for training.
2. Try for a 'better' starter company. We are currently interested in Con-Way. As an 'older' husband and wife team, I think we will have an advantage over a younger single person as far as getting job offers.
3. Do whatever, put up with whatever, to get 1 year experience. (We might be older, but we will be newbies)
4. Try for a better a company, unless of course we get lucky in the first company (It COULD happen!)
5. Learn everything we can about buying and owning our own truck. SAVE MONEY!
6. With about 2-3 experience and at least 50% down (hopefully pay cash as we have some resources) Buy our own NEW truck.
Have I got this about right? Am I living in reality, or have I missed something big?
The long 'discussion' about leases vs buying? Well, business schools teach leasing assets that will depreciate. And they can make a good case for it.
BUT you must get good lease terms! From what I have seen, read, heard, etc about most leases from companies is that they are bad leases at best and at worst they just over priced rentals, not an actual lease as would be defined by a business major.
Also, if you do most of your own maintenance and you are good at it, and you are 'easy' on your truck, a 'good driver', and thus your truck last longer than the expected life and you spend much less for repairs in this expected life, then owning is definitely the way to go.
So either way can be the right way, just depends on the persons skills, desires, resources, etc. -

JMCN: You just about have it right! All you need is a "little" operating capital ($10,000 should do you for about 6 months) to pay the bills until the statements start to come in on a regular basics and you'll be just fine! I've seen drivers stay with a company for years with miminial problems but they ae always happening anyway but a good company clears them up asap to keep everyone happy. Just remember to keep a copy of every piece of paper that you touch to CYA!
Good Luck

Simple question at the end of the lease do you get the truck, no.....
Go to Christner at least there its actually your truck at the end of the lease, and you don't see everybody downing JCT, maybe because there not like Swift, England, even Prime is a step up from were your are.....
Do what you like .....CAGEtrucker Thanks this.
