Hello, I am going to Werner orientation next Friday and not sure what to expect when I am there. Any suggestions on what I do with my time while I am waiting? I got the list for stuff I would need to bring with me.

Re-read the thread on the Werner trainer crapping his pants.
Friday, A_C_Cooper, Boattlebot and 5 others Thank this. -
Best of luck. Do you want us to go ahead and start your GoFundMe page?

My info on Werner is a decade old, but I trained out of the Dallas location after CDL school.
Orientation was pretty standard, normally ran from 0745-1630. I would just recommend bringing a good set of headphones and a couple books for entertainment. -
You will need to bring applications to fill out. And books on how to write a better resume. And so scooby snacks.
Protein Hauler Thanks this. -
Where will you be doing your orientation?
Try to keep this thread going detailing your experience with Werner. All companies change and I have known drivers who enjoyed working at Werner. -
Don't listen to the crap you're gonna hear from everyone. The first thing you should bring when working for a mega is thick skin.
I know you've been on here for a long time trying to get started and every single one of us has worked for less than perfect company at some point in our careers. Go in with an open mind, learn all that you can, and keep your cool. The first few months will be a total shock to your system but I promise you it's the easiest job in the world once you get it down pat.
Congratulations man. Time in the A seat counts no matter what color the truck is.Woodchuck88, Just passing by, Boattlebot and 2 others Thank this. -
GoneButNotForgotten Thanks this.
