i guess my question to bigbluecompanycheerleader will never be answered. go figure.

in case anybody is wondering why i agreed to do the driver unload. it's because i actually got paid for them in the past. even though i finished off the load a few days ago, i'm still quite irritated after being sandbagged.

I'm 6'5" 340 and the stress test was no big deal to me so unless your chain smoking camel unfiltered's and eating chicken fried steak 3 times a day you should be fine.

the f'd up thing is that i thought my dispatcher was somewhat honest. he's always paid me for the added stuff on the loads. it all came to a crashing halt on that run.

You have to remember, unless your DM is also a CSR(mine are), they have ZERO authority and can only do stuff like unloading pay with permission from either the CSR of that account or the division manager.

that is absolutely r-tarded. at any rate, that was the last driver unload that i'll ever do. the only exception i'll make is if the load gets my butt straight home.

the driver unloads the freight. it's usually done by hand. tire loads are mostly driver unload. mine was a carpet load. tire loads suck the most, though. i honestly don't mind a good workout. it's not being paid for it that sucks. especially when i'm told i'd get paid for it and see that the line for driver unload on the pre-plan is marked "Y".

I never said it was brilliant, just reality. BTW, I believe the Q about what a driver unload is was a rhetorical bit of sarcasm, just saying. :biggrin_255:

Heres something for you to munch on when it comes to Knight, Kevin boy learned the trucking industry first hand when he worked for Swift and he wants his company to be just like Swift and I think he has . So Swift or Knight, take your pick there both the same animal, just different colored trucks.
