It ain't going to happen. You mean when your hubby see's a gym and he has to make a delivery within his 14, you think he's going to stop for you to get your workout for 2 hour's on Swift's time ?:biggrin_25513: Just telling you the fact's "Maam".
I beleive your hubby is painting you a pretty picture so you can go with him so "HE" can use "YOU" as an exercise piece of equipment daily.:biggrin_25525::biggrin_25522:

"truck drivers" and "gym" don't exactly go hand in hand. Good luck finding any chance to stay in shape. Best thing you'll get is a walk or jog around the outer perimiter of the truck stop.... be sure to hold your nose.

If you have a full sleeper, both of you should be able to sleep on the bottom bunk. Get rid of the mattress on the top bunk and you can build a cheap wood frame to hold a refrigerator, a small microwave and coffeemaker. Install at least a 1500 Watt power inverter which should easily handle the 1100 watt microwave. Take the door off one of the lower cabinets and in that place put a fully flushable RV type portable toilet (about $150 on line or at Camping World). Now all you have to do is find a gym. I have Map Quest on my Lap Top. You can enter the address where you are and search for all gyms in your area and it will give you directions to the closest gym. Before or after you get loaded or unloaded you might have a few hours down time to go to the gym!!!!!!!!

Just saw a guy exercising in the truck stop parking lot - shadow boxing, jumping rope, using a rolled coil of rope for weights for his arms... and that was after his jog... so its do able - where there is a will there is a way :)

Is Hubby a newbie, or what ? If he's been trucking awhile, I would think you would have been in his truck with his previous company. If he's brand new to the biz and Swift is his first job, you're both in for a surprise as to what is possible when "out there". Finding a gym and having time to stop and finding a place to park will be your challenge. Luck to ya'.......

I went OTR with my husband over the summer as a team driver. Prior to going with him I was jogging at least a mile daily. Well with the schedules we had to keep those daily jogs became maybe 3 times a week, because by the time we were able to stop for any length of time it was usually very dark or in a not so safe area. Now my girls are back in school so I'm back to running the business end of this from home and pushing my self to be able to go back to my mile daily. Good luck out there, enjoy it! I love the road but I wish there were gyms in truck stops rather than all those useless arcade rooms.
