well guess what happened yesterday...met a guy up at the CDL school who was taking a refresher course because he hadnt driven in three years since leaving "Roehl" due to some family matters...so of course y'all know what me did...thats right pick his brain...ALL DAY. and it was pretty much like i thought. HARD. at least he said when he went to Roehl's orientation three years ago alot of people got sent home ( with no job ) which sounds to me like Roehl dont put up with b.s. which is great because im not in this to play games or sit in truck stops shootin the breeze. ( of course unless i have no load, sittin ) but it sounds like what i've heard is true ( according to him anyway ) do your logs books correctly, not allowed to go over. dont idle for long periods...watch how you shift to save fuel.....blah blah blah....you all get it. now i realize i have not worked for Roehl and he could be just goshin my leg so YES i listened cautiously. but at any rate it sounds promising and just the kind of company i'd like to be working for.

Sounds like I should have put in a ap for Roehl instead of Schneider. All new driver training has been cancelled there until ? Both companies are about the same distance from my house in Racine Wi. Everything has been put on hold with me for awhile cuz I'm running back and fourth from Racine to Menomonie Wi to help my son with some family matters. Up there for 2 or 3 days, and then back here for 2 or 3 days. I've had my Dodge Magnum since 06 with very few miles on it, but running back and forth sure is putting them on. Sure love that Hemi.

Dotra I was scheduled for Schneider then cancelled and went Roehl, Im glad it worked out this way... and Im in Waterford

Bowmeyer its true, everything he told u, they prob take 20% of the orientation guys, make sure you know the Pre trip imspection, can drive well, good cornering, no gear clashing, down shifting, shifting, 45 degree back up even if it takes a couple pull ups, straight back... or they give ya a greyhound ticket... and relax. I talked to the testor the whole time about everything and it relaxed me... I got stuck with rush hour traffic in a snow storm and still only got a -5 phew... you can get a -25 and pass... not that it will be good enough for a hire... you will do fine... its like taking the state exam all over again
-
needless to say they are tightening up on their standards for non RDTC students, I heard they are gonna stop taking students not trained in house in the near future...but your already setup...

sweating.......great just what i need a bus ticket home......no pressure.
