Well Road Dog, I haven't made up my mind yet. I've been seriously thinking about it. Jobs around here stink and do not pay well. I figure it would be for only a couple of years. I haven't talked to anyone at Roehl yet. I put in an appl and Carrie called but we keep missing each other. My boss doesn't want me to quit but it gets hot in the summer at the plant which I can not stand hot. But anyway, I'll let you know.

gotta add my "ditto" to the list :biggrin_25519:. I start my terminal leave on 7 August, then it's 77 days of paid leave for me to get my CDL and hook up with Roehl's Honor Program. I'm also in GA, so I'll most likely be coming back to Ellen Town as well. I'm an occasional smoker, so I'm glad to hear they give us the option ^_^.

I am in Newport News, wanting to retire from the fire dept and drive for Roehl. I am a new member and cannot email or pm you, but would love to hear more about your perspectives of the company. Perhaps we can chat via regular email??

    Thanks - Mike

Well Roehl has my application and Carrie is in the process of verifying my work history then she will set up the school where I will go for my cdl and then it's off for training. My husband will not be my trainer as their policy is not to put husbands as trainers for their wives and visa versa. That's cool with me, probably would be too stressed if hubby was my trainer. We are then going to team.

That seem slike a good policy. I have seen a spouse that was supposidly trained by the other spouse, but in reality she was just trained to be a stearing wheel holder. She couldn't back, freaked at scales, and wouldn't drive any where other then the freeway so long as it was not within a city. That is not good for any one.

  9. I am going with the National Van fleet. Where I live is only in the National and Northeastern fleets area. I would rather be out a few days longer and get a few days off then home every week for a little over one day. I have thought of trying to talk my wife into moving to western Ohio. I have family there and the houses are about half what they are here. If I did that, I would look into flats, but can't do it here.

  10. Congrats Whispers,
Carrie is my recruiter too. Maybe we will run into each other once you and your hubby are running the roads together.
