Well, I am still a bit disappointed. Time wasted I guess but it gave me an idea of what orientation is like. I'm looking at applying for US Xpress now, as well as a local taxi/non-emergency transport in my area just in case. I don't know anything about them but eh I'm sure someone will chime in or I will find out on my own was USX is like. I've read through the forums but eh.

I gave you the

Before getting your knickers in a knot, maybe you should peruse some of my posts. I am the one always getting in trouble for defending Swift.
Anyone who has followed me for any length of time would know that's one of my ways to say, "Consider the source."
I have been driving for nearly five years, two of which have been hauling Swift dispatched loads. I just looked at the company magazine and noted all the 10-year drivers whose anniversaries with this company fell within July.
If Swift only wants short term drivers, then why celebrate these milestones?
You misread my intent.WanabeTrucker Thanks this. -
Did you look into Schneider National?

Last I remember they were not hiring anyone without experience.
Well I just looked and they are accepting Recent Graduates which I am not which kinda stinks. I'm almost at the 2 year mark. -
After some thought about my last comment here, I realized DC's post was every bit as ambiguous as mine was. Therefore, my reaction was not correct. My apologies to DC.

Yeah they either want BRAND NEW out of school or at least I think 3 months of immediate OTR experience. At least thats what it states for here in Colorado. I'm actually considering them right after school since I'm going to be doing my schooling locally rather then going to swift academy. That way my options are open to more then just swift if need be. Swift is still my first choice but if it falls through, I can go with Schneider or Werner or someone else that will hire newbies.

You could even claim to be slip seating!
