I ran chemical tank for Quality Carriers out of Ft Worth/Saginaw there for about 3 years. Only had to suit up a couple times. If the milk doesn't work out give them a call.JoeyJunk and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

I know next to nothing about Quality Carriers. What commodity do they/did you haul for them?JoeyJunk Thanks this.

Hauled a lot of non Hazmat paint out of Valspar in Garland Tx. But they were bought out by Sherwin Williams who also has a Garland Tx. plant just down the road. We hauled what was considered paint out of there. Actually was a coating that the beverage can makers spray inside of aluminum cans to keep the contents from tasting like aluminum. Went to the midwest and Carolinas a lot. Always out and back as the trailers were dedicated to that one product only.
They also transloaded products from railcars at the terminal for mainly local deliveries.
What they haul now I don't have a clue. But if you are interested, go to the terminal and talk to the terminal manager in person. It's at the end of Minden Rd off of N Saginaw Blvd north I I-820 in Saginaw.
Also in Saginaw, there are a couple flour mills that have dry bulk tankers running day cabs out out the plants.JoeyJunk, REO6205 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
The things you learn on TTR.
Is it just beverages or do other types of cans get sprayed too?
The_vett Thanks this. -
Tin food cans too, but with a slightly different coating. And because the coatings go inside food and beverage cans, the trailers that haul them are considered the same as food grade trailers. Shipper inspects trailers and also delivery hoses and seals all of it.

Saw one of these little guys on the porch during the rain tonight. Who knew there was the Texas Toad. Purty darn durable creatures to be living in this desert.RockinChair, JoeyJunk and The_vett Thank this. -
Those little guys can get as big as a kitten in the right environment. They will also croak at night as loud as a coyote. Once you get used to that it peacefully puts you to sleep.Flat Earth Trucker and lual Thank this.
