gonna learn dropdeck

    Hey all here it is. 22 yrs OTR, CSA 0. Have a opportunity to learn dropdeck and owner will train. Would like any advice and tips. Thanks.

    You'll like SD....just need to account for "upper 10' " when loading.

    Step deck is easy to work with. Lower loading height and a lot more machinery loads. Only down side is the fact the lower deck is short, but if u work it right it should not make a difference most the time.

    Thanjks SHC, Have pulled reefer for 22 yrs so this will be all new. My friend that's getting me into this is a ####### guy and will take all the time I need to get comfortable. A little worried about getting into at 45 yrs.

    Heck Im 42 and fat and have a 53 step so shouldnt be all that bad as long as you can handle a tarp every now and then. You going to have a 48 or longer step??

    Are you carrying straps and chains? Headache rack?
    Load Levelers?
    I think most skateboard guys carry more equipment than all others.
    But I wouldn't want to pull anything else.

    its a 53 w/10 ft step. he's set up to haul military and OD. trailer has all equipment needed.
