Just wondering how many of you are using a section of wrap on the door or sleeper where you put the decals and just peel everything off when you are done.
Removing a wrap isn't hard to do and you don't have to deal with the entire lettering thing to clean off.
I tried it, worked well enough to do on a number of trucks. Also I've tried the plastic-dip paint which also worked out well.
Good decal adhesive remover

This is what I ended up getting. The gel worked like a charm, sprayed it let it set a few minutes. Couple places had to use a plastic putty knife but rest could literally just wipe away with a microfiber towel. But, I did just remove the decals today, also.
Thank you, @Chinatown, I never would have thought of this but will remind myself to try it next time I find myself in this situation.
I didn't even try to find a heat gun. My paint is kind of beat up already. Last time I had to remove adhesive I think I hastily used windex and one of those razor blade in a scraper handle things. Didn't knick the paint all that bad really, but man did it take forever and a day.
This was actually what I did try first. But I didn't have anything to scrape with besides a razor blade. Lifted the decals pretty well but left probably 95% of the adhesive behind them.
Yes, that is where I found Goof Off. I found mine in the hardware also. Store I was at was kind of frustrating Aisle O23. O22 was automotive, O23 was a good ways back towards like O12.Rideandrepair and ducnut Thank this. -
If u use Milwaukee impacts. They sell a heat gun that takes the same battery... Its obviously a battery hog but perfect for small jobs like decals.. Ive put a lot of use in mineRideandrepair and Stringb8n Thank this.

I may need to invest in an electric impact one day. Are you talking about that big 1-1/4 inch, that could remove truck lug nuts, that Milwaukee impact?Rideandrepair and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

I carry the half inch drive with me . The full size one and the stubby version. As well as the heat gun. And also have an angle grinder and also a buffer for polishing aluminum They all use the same battery... heat gun is perfect for working with the heat shrink and butt connectors for electrical fixes..

That doesn't seem like too bad of a price either. Probably what Harbor Freight would try to get for Chicago Power or whatever the house brand there is.Rideandrepair and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

That one doesn't come with the battery. Just the tool itself. But I've got my money's worth out of it and then some. Once you get a couple batteries and a couple tools it pays for itself not having to keep multiple battery types and find your chargers etc etcRideandrepair and Stringb8n Thank this.
