there is a place on US 287 in Tx. that serves really good fish, I think it's called Catfish Charlie's or something like that. You see billboards for it all along. Lot's of parking in the back for trucks and rv's, plus room to spend the night if need be. I've eaten there a couple of times.
Another one is the Eastgate Travel Plaza, Evansville, Wyo., it's on the So. side of Casper, huge lot, lot's of room, pretty good food.
good eats along the way....

I've never eaten there, but I always see it's pretty packed so it must be pretty good -
Bet your talking about Catfish O Harley's in Decatur, TX. Been there a few times. Pretty darn good grub. I live about 30 miles due S of there. They had a bunch of locations. One was in Weatherford across from Petro, but it wasn't well managed and shut down. They still have one in Azle, TX on 199 and the 287 is the original. I think it is run everyday by owners and is the best. You can sure come out of there full for sure.

I received the book from Guy Fieri "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" off of the Food Network. It lists a bunch of the places he has visited on his show. My plan is to visit each of those restaurants, so far I have eaten at 8 of them. None have disappointed.

Morris has been my favorite for a long time as far as truck stops.
I did eat at that petro last week though. I had the 12 dollar 20 oz porter house lol.
It was very good and a good cut of meat. Not like the TA gristle steaks.
The buffet that night looked pretty good also. Was seafood night. So king crab legs, fish, shrimp, crawfish etc. I was in the mood for a steak though.
I have been on a search for some good diners and such that have truck parking.
I have tried quite a few that were ok, a few that were bad. When I find a really good one with parking I will post it.
I-44 in Mo. the From Scratch restaurant, don't remember what exit ,but truck parking, and good real home cooking, kinda like Amish food.2fuzy Thanks this. -
