Hey LS, if you can keep a dry van running at good rates close to that, we'll keep one of our trucks dedicated to your lanes. We've got one in route right now to start running the region and if we can get good rates, we're thinking of keeping a truck rotating there.

That is the problem, you are looking at loads ACTUALLY posted on the board. I have only been here 3 weeks and already have a IN with 3 agents that have been able to keep me busy going just about everywhere for wellover $3 mile to the truck. If I stuck to the load board then I too would be hurting for money, but luckily I am not as of yet.

For instance, the guy i loaded up for yesterday got me a load to Birmingham, and then got me a load from Birmingham to El Paso. I called another agent and she was able toget me a load right out of EP going back to Dallas. And then the other agent is lining me up on a load from Dallas to Iowa, all the mean while the other 2 agents are looking for stuff from Dallas and Iowa now for me. They know I won't take less than $3.50 a mile for the rate (before LS's cut)

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it will keep up :)

At the moment our stuff is all open deck. Within the next couple of months, we should have van freight going very regularly. Keep us in mind.

Who are you secretly making out with?!:biggrin_25522::biggrin_25523:

Does the broker board actually show rates now? All of my loads last week and going into next week, never hit the boards. Same agent and fantastic rates for 50% deadhead miles.

Yes, they show rates, I also pulled a couple that wasn't posted from agents I deal with on a regular basis, as I said, I was just commenting on posted loads.

I got ya, and I was just stating that going by the load board numbers are not a good basis of what the rates actually are. And it would amaze you how many guys leased on here actually find ALL their loads off of it.

You didn't know they posted rates on the landstar broker board? I have had a couple agents tell me that when I called on a load that was posted, acted like I was lying to them about seeing the rate, seems odd to me that agents would'nt know this.

Just wondering but dont you think the rates should be their? I think rates should be posted on every load that is posted anywhere and yes, thats wishfull thinking.
