I'd rather not have any tarps.

The steel tarps would likely be the first thing I get. Maybe just three of them. I am hoping to avoid hauling any lumber that requires 8' box tarps.

Did I mention I hate tarping? Especially in the NoDak and Minn winters.

I actually carry two 24x16 and a 16x16 smoke and very seldom miss any loads because of tarps. Although I did have to turn one of my 24s sideways on a load I accepted when the broker stated it only required four foot drops. It actually needed 8 foots for an industrial sized air compressor.

Also I don't care alot for tarps but it pays pretty well when I have to, and gets me
    back to our customer base.

    MNdriver Thanks this.

I don't do alot of the northern stuff so I get off pretty easy other than a little wind.

They were vinyl coated. #### heavy too.

We used 21" bungee's at least.

Hey, it was 1991 when I ran flats last.

Does using ropes make me old school, or just cheapskate? Them 5/16" x 50' ropes are $3 at Wally World.
