You can't acess any sea shipping port without it. Military bases are also beginning to go the same route.

 

Google Twic Card. It will come up with alot of BS but its the TSA website. Just go there and look for TWIC application. Fill that out and set an appointment. Go to Houston (closest enrollment center to you) do the app there as well for the paper trail, get finger printed, go home and wait. When you get approved and they make your card you have to go back to Houston to pick it up and activate it by finger print.

But if you dont plan on going to ports you dont need it at all.

I plan on getting the Haz-Mat here in a few months.

Maybe endorsements? But if you have no exp then its pretty much a crap shoot. You kinda really have to know someone or know how to show exp without really having it. Ive seen it done but sometimes turns out bad.

Thats not something I would be willing to get into over the board. I will tell you that it could help you if you know someone in the business or with a small outfit that has trucks.
