    Anything looks good on paper. But the real world does funny things to paper perfect ideas.
    I just talked to guy that said he drove from Bonduel, WI to Columbus, MT in 24 hours. He started on Saturday morning he said. I told him you got me beat by a few hundred miles. :walk::smilebox:

    Lmao same 4 drivers. But to replace those 4 to find Good replacements? They’d seriously go through 10-20 for each seat.

    Gotta admit I don’t use my GPS for anything other than for a heads up on crashes and delays. But I’ve been running the same dedicated route from Nashville to Texarkana for years. And I rarely use the gps alternate routes because it generally gets really twisted up .

    I USED to run ballz to the wall like that. 1,000- 1,400 mile days a lot. Get tired? Pull over grab a quick hour nap, get up and keep running. Technology caught up plus something finally clicked. If I have to run that hard too make the money I wanted? Something wasn’t right. There’s still ways to work around the technology but I don’t have to anymore.

    I came into trucking with a management/business background. Started putting together business plans to build a fleet.

    Then I started to look at the labor pool ... Anybody I would want to hire, would be smart enough to go it on their own ... Anybody who would stick around, I wouldn't want to hire.

    Perfectly content to run my one truck, with just me to worry about.
