Only lease with companies that pay percentage. Never do lease by mileage pay.

I purchased my first truck through sunflower carriers. They are not around any more but Dwyane Acklie the man that owns Crete/shaffer owned sunflower also. They never did me wrong and I payed it off in 24payments aa scheduled. I didn't have to take what they told me I got to choose my loads. I believe he still offers that same program. They also go through the truck completely before they sell it if you want a used one they offers new ones also.

But do you know why? And percentage is only half the equation. Without out the other half, percentage could put in a hole quicker than milage ever could.

Please dont ever confuse a L/P as "stepping" up a level..

You may want to look into Cowan Systems out of Maryland. Have a good reputation and a L/P option.

Pay is awesome. wanna go lease you will percentage. Somewhere around 65%

We have flatbed and van and company side has specialized oversize.

If you are still looking to switch to a new company you can ask me anything about anderson. And I can give you my recruiters info and my info. He would be more than willing to help you out.

And ps. They pay for a rental car, food while in orientation, you can bring pets, you can bring your wife/husband and can go to the orientation class with you. And as a lease driver you get 1500 sign on bonus or if you go flat you make 2500

Huh? Cowan has lease purchase? I never knew that. I'm checking that out..

Their website doesn't say whether they pay percentage or mileage.

    http://www.cowansystems.com/drivers/lease-purchase-program/

Just seems like it would be another worthless for driver thing and big money for company thing. Something makes me weary anytime a company has company drivers, owner ops, and lease purchase.

I really don't see why there aren't any good companies out there running a legit lease-purchase deal. There has to be some out there.

All I know about them is from talking to some upper level managers but they are a company with different divisions using different drivers. Local, regional, out on Monday, back on Friday. The O/Os who are usually out 14, and are fed by the in house brokerage.
Very few companies put really useful info on their websites I've found.
The founder of PGT, in a video, says they started L/P to dispose of the old equipment.
