I believe IdeaLease is similar to Ryder, Penske, etc.

I'm currently with Osborn lease purchase. I've found out why most drivers don't be successful. It comes down to the driver and DM. If you and the DM don't have an understanding, then it doesn't work. If the driver not putting in the work. You make the DM look bad, so the driver suffers. The DM also needs to know how to plan loads that can track fixed costs and fuel. The DM also needs to sustain the desire to see the driver make money. To anyone that desires to know. Anything above $3,000 before expense. Before truck note, fees, permits and fuel. To see take home pay above a $1,000.

I can't see being in a lease if your running for a dispatcher or DM or whatever you call it. I think you need complete control of your income and expenses to have a shot at being successful

    Lonesome Thanks this.

The only way I can see anyone being in complete control. That person has the financial resources to support it. It's possible to be successful in the lease. It's good training for someone who is seeking complete control in the future.
