I have 5 years experience hauling chemicals, own my truck, have a squeaky clean record and live in St. Louis.
QC, Dana and Midwest Systems all have cameras on the trucks now and I'd literally exit the industry rather than put up with that. I'm resigning soon before they kick me out at QC for not installing cameras.
I'd prefer to stay in chemicals but may need to get my own authority and pull anything just to be left alone. Let me know if you know of any decent companies leasing OOs without cameras. Other suggestions are welcome too. Thanks!
Good Midwest carrier without cameras?

Talk to Time DC. See what they have going on.
whatd and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
I emailed them and they answered me back. They lease O/O from St. Louis, MO.whatd Thanks this.

They require one forward facing and one on each mirror on the sides. They record every event you can imagine so they can then "coach" you.
I'll check with them about the cameras. It looks like they have a carrier program, which interests me. I'd like a situation where I haul power-only under my own authority.
Thanks guys. I'll be contacting them today. Hopefully we can get a few companies posted in this thread for other refugees seeking to be left alone.Last edited: Mar 27, 2020
