Bethlehem, PA behind the Walmart/Home Depot.
I delivered my load this morning and then spent most of the day turning down loads because they never had enough time on them. Most were delivering at 0100 tomorrow morning, but none gave me the time for a 10.
My current load is 9 miles to the pick up and 68 miles to the final in Florence, NJ tomorrow morning. Maybe I am being punished.

Then I got a call from a PA state trooper. It seems I was involved in a minor accident sometime over the weekend on I-380.
He just wanted my CDL number and DOB.
My trailer flung a piece of road debris, probably part of a tire, into a car behind me causing a little damage.
No citations and no insurance claim against Swift.
He was happy I answered my phone so he could tie up the loose ends.

I wonder if it was one of the many people that like to tailgate me.

Weed CA, delivered all of 1 box at a stop in Chico CA, got 5 more stops in seattle and Spokane.

Stopped in weed I5 is a mess. Im rocking like a dinghy on the high seas and this alluminum weighs nothing. Chain laws are up on multiple passes. But the wind is what bothers me, cant handle ice and wind and light weight. 20191126_132622.jpg

    Really?
Speed that trucker up and the hell with the break time.

Tell the customer to slow things down a bit.
    No need for speed.
If they needed it there sooner they should have scheduled it sooner.

    The nerve of some people.

    Bordentown, NJ at the Love's.

I was sent one pplan after I delivered this morning.
Pick up anytime today or tomorrow and deliver 570 miles away in NC on 12/4. Total miles around 610.
And entire week for one 600 mile load? I don't think so.

I called my DM to see if I could T-call it. He wasn't sure so he held off dispatching me on it until he heard back.
The lack of a dispatch tells me how that went.
After the hour had expired on the pplan the same thing came in as a Mac 30 load offer.

I don't know how I crossed this planner in Jonestown, but he has kept me on crap loads all week.

    FerrissWheel and dptrucker Thank this.

Refused all same 3 offers lol.

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.

I finally had something go right.

My DM and TM had been trying to get the planners out here to stop using me this way, with no luck.
My DM took things into his own hands and found me a couple loads to get me out of the east.
The first load is going to MA tomorrow, then I'll pick up a load in CT on Friday headed to IL that delivers anytime on Sunday.

I was just assigned to this DM a couple weeks ago. So far I am really liking him.
He had sent me a message this morning telling me to watch my next pay statement to make sure I was paid short haul pay for several loads this week that were under 100 miles. He even listed all the load numbers. If it is not on there he will get me paid.
Which is nice, because I had a very short load two months ago as I was getting home that only paid at my base CPM did not pay short haul.

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.
