I would not even bother going home for that amount of time.
Too much time getting home, getting stuff out of the truck, back in to the truck in the morning...
What a headache.

 

And you actually accepted that load?

 

I had a choice, I-15 to I-40 or I-10 to I-17 to I-40. One was about 40 miles longer and let me stop by the house, the other put me in a truck stop for the night. Plus, by stopping by the house I did a load of laundry and re-stocked the fridge.

 

I took it knowing that I had the option of getting something better the next day. When I checked with my DM the next day she said that West Valley said they had NOTHING headed south that day so I picked it up. I'm at home now, I'll deliver the load on Wednesday, turn my truck in, and be done with Swift.

Knight/Swift dealt the hand, I'm just playing it the best I can.

My next load doesn't pick up until Monday so I'm sitting the weekend. It picks up 180 miles from here in Colony, WY, but since there is nowhere to stop between here and there...
Good thing it has a good pick up window.
Then I t-call the load in Salt Lake City.

 

Liberal KS, Walmart.

Came off hometime Friday, dropped my stack in PHX, picked up new student. Recovered an Aluminum load off another flatbed. Headed to KS for a Monday delivery with 4 stops.

Ive gotten to the season of Discovery with the mirror universe. I was liking it then. Will probably binge Picard after the fact.

picked up a load in o ratio last nite after dropping the other load to Miller in Irwindale
left jurupa terminal and drove to beaver ut to switch with other driver.
still had over 3 hrs to drive so came here to miss any rain or snow that's predicted for tomorrow.
wanted to get back to jurupa early since NASCAR is in town this weekend.
think I will go 15 s to 215 s to 60 west to get around the track traffic.
