n Las Vegas at international.
tow truck finally showed up 2 hrs later.
we dropped trailer at out dropyard and then he dropped the teuck on the street
since place is closed.
have appt on Monday so will be sitting here till thwn
tow driver gave me a ride over to del taco so I could get dinner then I walked the mile back.
got here around 0830.
driver was pretty cool.. kept a conversation the whole trip.

 

Wait, do you not have A/C?

 

I can still run the truck. so have a/c .
the 1st guy to show said it won't hurt the engine.
just wont have power to pull anything

 

also Morton truck stop is about half mile behind me. so I have options for food and a place to use restroom when needed.

 

Got a nice load this morning getting me to Elgin, IL. The shipper was only 4 miles away.
That delivers tomorrow morning, so I should get home when I planned to on Tuesday.
My guess would be a Costco load out of Morris.

The Petro here in Gary had some cloth face masks, which is good since I'm headed into IL.
They look home made, just a piece of white cloth that look like they were cut with scissors. But it covers my face correctly and it doesn't really restrict my breathing.

 

Yup, I was right.

Costco load going to Eagan, MN delivering on my requested home time date.
And I didn't even have to take those crap loads from yesterday.
I love it when a plan comes together...

t/a in Barstow ca.
truck out of shop around 10 am. drove over to dropyard to see if I can get an mt and no luck.
dl had me bobtail to Irwindale ca for this load that I am dropping at the dropyard.
since other driver drove down to Las Vegas to get that load, he didn't get to Denver till today sometime.
so he will do a 34 and we will only do 2 trips this week..here for dinner , shower, then sleep.

picked up a load there and Tcalled that load here.
then bobtailed over to Irwindale ca and grabbed that load.
came here for the nite.
heading to beaver ut tomorrow

 

Home again, home again...

I got saddled with a pallet load going out of Costco.
I hate when that happens because I never get paid correctly. Never any short haul pay even though it is only around 25 miles.
(I had mentioned that to my current DM. She said to let her know if it happens again and she will make sure I get the money.)

In the load assignment it says we are not allowed to bobtail out from the receiver, we have to take an mt.
I usually don't because I am going home and I can only fit my tractor here.
Now the receiver has started assigning empty trailers to take out as part of the delivery paperwork.
When I explained that I was going home and had no place for the trailer he let me bobtail out.
