Morris, IL at the TA.
I picked up a load at the Walmart DC in Elwood, then headed for IN planning to stop at the Petro in Gary.
A few miles after I got on I-80 traffic slowed to a crawl.
I had barely enough time on my 70 to make Gary if there were no delays, and that didn't happen. I turned around and came here for the night.
Hopefully Saturday morning traffic will be better.

have a 4am appt.
then picking next load up in fontana ca and taking it to beaver utFerrissWheel Thanks this. -
Oh how I hate 4am deliveries.
The first pplan from my last load was a Costco load, picking up at 1500 and delivering 150 slow miles away at 0500 the next morning. 3 hours drive time.
I turned it down (mainly) because it was a refer load, and I don't do refer.
The planner sent it again with a message to call my DL, and that it was just like doing a dry van load.
? Really?
It was removed 5 minutes later, before I could turn it down again.
And call my DL?
She and I see eye to eye on how I run my loads, and which ones I take or turn down.
That load I would have refused even if it was dry because of the too tight time frame.
12 hour minimum between shutting down and driving, is my rule.FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
@Moosetek13 my last load had a 2 am appt.
by they took me early. this time they didn't so I have to show up at 4am.
