    misquite nv. at flying j.
left jurupa terminal this morning and headed for beaver ut.
cal trans was sweeping the right shoulder and chp was blocking the right lane.
so finally got thru that backup.
then a tractor trailer decided to take a nap just north of razor exit.
    truck was blocking right lane.
took a bit to get thru that.
finally.made it to beaver with no other issues except for time.
stopped at the pilot at exit 9 in Arizona for fuel.
saw I still had 20 minutes left on 11,so came here for the nite.
tcall this load in jurupa terminal tomorrow then off till tuesday

    FerrissWheel and dwells40 Thank this.

Cloquet, MN, and with some time on my hands.

I delivered yesterday at 1400 to Costco in Baxter, MN. No pplan so I headed for a nearby rest area.
This load doesn't pick up until 1200 tomorrow.
I'll be expecting some layover pay.

    FerrissWheel and dptrucker Thank this.

Moriarty NM, got a wind hub. Going to Kansas.

First few weeks, I'm loving every minute of it. They didn't waste no time throwing me into the fire. Just about every load has been OSOW. It's what I wanted tho. I missed that from years ago.

I've even deadheaded like 900 miles to grab one load.

Deadheaded 700 miles to go grab the wind hub going to Kansas.

Permitting and escort process has been a breeze. Intial origin permits before I get there, confirm diminsions and weight , they work on the rest while I'm on the way out. Pilot cars have thus far been calling me. Haven't had to call our escort guy, he's on top of this.

But yeah, dream job actually turned out to be everything claimed. Having way to much fun over here.

    Hope y'all doing well.

I'm at the Love's in Floyd, IA tonight with a 0700 live unload in Mason City tomorrow.
35-45 wind gusts all day, so I'm glad this is a heavy load.
Currently 91 degrees here, so I'll be idling until morning.

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.

    That's good to hear.

I was getting blown about quite a bit with 43k in the box and 46 gusts.
And I usually will shut it down if I am that light with over 35 gusts.

    Be safe!

    dptrucker and FerrissWheel Thank this.

Had a bit of a head wind. Made it to the Loves in Hutchinson KS, gonna do a 34 and deliver monday morning.

Someone nearly jumped off the shoulder on my side on 54 forcing me over to the left even more. Big old Peterbilt coming the other way jumped on his shoulder as far as he could go to get out of my way dude on the shoulder nearly took us all three out because from a dead stop he decided he was going to pull out at the last second I narrowly avoided him

I'll never understand why people don't get up a little bit of speed before deciding to jump out. Oh well.

Unfortunately the majority of my overhang is on the right side which actually forces me more to the left. When someone's over there. At least on this load.

He started turning into my lane until he realized I was right there.

Of course I was headed to East with the setting sun behind us so I might give him the benefit of the doubt but still. That almost got nasty.

Fortunately the driver come in the other way was paying attention

Other than that it was a pretty calm day pretty easy actually.
