nope. nb station was closed when I went thru

 

The extra time at the last service was for an alignment.
Time well spent, and it only added 1 day.

The two times before that they had to order parts and it lasted many more days.
We'll see what happens this time, but I don't think anything serious is going on with the truck right now.

And the thing is... I do not do loaner trucks.
I will not move all my stuff to another truck for just a few days, then move it all back.
Sitting it out is less painful in the long run.

 

One of my favorite places, Manteno.
Except for the crowded times, which it wasn't today.
It never seems to be crowded with drivers, only trailers.

No extra problems with the b service and they had me done around 1130.
The tech even thanked me for having a clean truck. It seems some of the trucks coming in are so dirty inside that it makes his job harder.
Friendly people all around in that terminal. It reminds me of my own terminal.
I love the smaller terminals.

The planner there sent me two pplans going to places out of my region.
Then she called to ask why I turned it down.
No problem she said, I will find you something else.
That something else was a nice Lowe's load going to Owatonna, MN, delivering tomorrow mid-morning.
The Lowe's shipper is the old Sears place, right across the street from the terminal.

All in all, a very nice day.

 

Yeah, I liked Manteno too.

Whenever I fueled there, the pumps would shut off after 50g. I would have to swipe my fuel card every 50g to fill up. But, I only got charged for the first 50.

left jurupa terminal around 0600 this morning thinking I was headed to beaver ut lol.
fueled at flying j in Barstow ca and saw electronic sign ,b4 I got off, saying nb5 15 blocked at hack road.
where the neck is that? lol.
found it.
just north of baker ca.
saw the long line of vehicles, so pulled into town and parked it.
wanted to see if traffic was moving.
ended up doing a 30 minute break.
ended up some tractor trailer burnt up.
right lane closed.
took me almost an hour to get thru it.
saw a wrecker downing another tractor trailer with reset of trailer smashed and burned. so assumed that the truck burnt rearended him.
not sure of drivers since chp and wreckers were only omes there .
other driver had issues picking up a load. ended up going thru 2 loads at brewery b4 finding a trailer not broken in some way
so we.decided to meet here

Tcalled the load at the terminal.
other driver got stuck west of Glenwood canyon due to bad crash involving a semi somewhere in the canyon.
he is not sure if will be able to.make it tomorrow.
he will me know tomorrow
if he doesn't go , I will tcall the load in pheonix terminal instead.
hope no-one is headed east on 70 west of Glenwood cyn

 

That is a pretty drive.
Aren't trucks restricted to the right lane, with a 50mph speed limit?
But I think every time I have driven through there, there are trucks in the left lane playing Speed Racer.
I will never understand the mentality of that. It is one of the areas that you do not want to be making up time.

To be sure.
There are few places to park along that stretch, in either direction.

 

according to news driver was going west and rolled over into east bound lanes. debris and fuel spill. driver was sent to hospital

 

jurupa terminal.
picked this trailer up yesterday and did pretrip and loaded call.
then went home.
came back this morning and did my pretrip again only to have the abs lite come on.
couldn't turn it off.
so how at shop getting it fixed.
other driver says he is gonna get to denve and pick load up and try to get to green river.
either meet in Richfield or beaver.
he will let me know as so o. as he knows for sure.
east bound 70 opened back up around midnite

took shop about an hour to fix the abs. ended up being a bad sensor.
alot of traffic between jurupa ca and Las Vegas nv.
other driver will be here around 0630 tomorrow morning.
ended up being a good day with all the traffic
