    Edwardsville terminal.
    Such fun.
I t-called a load at around 1100 today, but no loads.

Well, there was one that I turned down.
Pick up on the 1st at noon and have it to the first stop by 0900 the next morning, 500 miles away.
That is way too tight for my liking.

    dptrucker Thanks this.

I don't like early morning deliveries.
But the load I picked up is a live unload at 0600 in Davenport, IA tomorrow. Oh well.
Early to bed, early to rise, and all that.

And my next load has the same delivery time, only in Fargo, ND on the 3rd.
Not too bad though since my home time is set for the 4th, so I should be able to get there on time.

My youngest daughter is graduating high school on the 5th, and I don't want to miss that.

I had a close one the other day, and I had forgotten about it until my DM called about the drive cam she saw.

I had just exited I-35 SB heading for the Love's to fuel, so I was in the left lane.
Another truck started pulling out, coming from the NB exit.
I figured he would keep to to the right lane, and he did for a few seconds. Then he pulls into my lane with me right there.
My left steer was in the dirt as I laid on the horn and slammed on the brakes to a complete stop, with him a few inches to my right.

I don't even have the footage available to me with this new Smart Drive thing.
Maybe if it doesn't score points it is not shown to me?

She just said, good job avoiding that crash.

    beaver ut at flying j.
made a delivery yesterday morning in city of industry ca and took a bit to get unloaded. really busy place this time.
picked up this load next to jurupa terminal and only got as far as walmart in st George ut.
was 30 minutes short of beaver and was going to stop there Saturday to do my shopping for truck.
so decided to stay there for my 10.
other driver blew a tire west of Richfield ut.
tore of while bracket that holds both mudflaps
when he got fixed, he texted me saying Utah trooper wouldn't let him go to beaver ut. most likely do to being out of hours. so trooper escorted him back to flying j in richfeild..
    he be here around 1015.
    another fun trip

    jackoboyo and Moosetek13 Thank this.

I got home for Lorelei's high school graduation.
It was an outside ceremony in near 100 degree heat, so that was fun.
About 520 graduating seniors so it took a while. Nearly 2 hours sitting on the bleachers at the football field.
It didn't start until 7 PM, so at least we had some shade from the sun as it was setting.

Then we went to Cracker Barrel for dinner.
More hard seats, but the food was good.
It was nice to finally get back home.

I had a Costco load out of Owatonna yesterday coming off home time.
Then it canceled an hour after it was supposed to be picked up.
Another was sent, and it too canceled about an hour after it was scheduled for pick up.
And there were several other drivers in the same boat.
Don't know what it is about that place that they can't seem to keep things going as scheduled, but it happens all too often.

After that my DM went around the planners and sent me a real load.
Ardent Mills out of Hastings, MN.
It had a window for pick up, but to get it there on time for the 0800 live unload in Topeka, KS tomorrow I would have to be there right when they opened at 0700 this morning. I was there at 0645.
Only to be told that the load was not ready.
They gave me a dock and I was told they would load me as the product came available.
It is big bags of grain, and as soon as a bag was filled they loaded it on.
I finally got out of there at ~1330, so this load is a bit late. Oh well, not my fault.

I'm at the J in Williams, IA tonight.
And I got layover pay for yesterday.

    jackoboyo and dptrucker Thank this.

Brainerd, MN at the rest area.

0800 delivery tomorrow morning with a insulation load.
No better place to stop unless I wanted to be driving by 0530 or so, and it's nice and quiet here.

    dptrucker and dwells40 Thank this.

    Happy birthday.

I would offer to go with you but, you would not want me there fishing with you.
I tend to just feed the fish until they are full, so you would not catch anything.

    dptrucker Thanks this.
